During a Painting Trip to Dream Suspension Bridge I did a watercolor painting of a Japanese rice field at evening time in a small town called Shonai, in Oita prefecture. This was painted in June, the rainy season.

I went with my family to meet a woman who lives in the Japanese countryside. We had a wonderful time and enjoyed eating biwa and bamboo shoots and picking Japanese plums called ume.
